An Analysis of 675 Cases of Puerperal Morbidity Treated in the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin

Only two cases were admitted for treatment of sepsis which were not attended by the hospital. This gives a morbidity rate of 5.8 per cent, during 6? years. In the analysis, the cases have been classified into four groups: (/) Where the fever was due to some definite extragenital cause. (?) Cases in which the fever was due to the retention of the products of conception. (iii) Fever due to obvious puerperal infection, or its duration was more than four days. ('iv) Where no definite cause of the fever could be found, and its duration was not more than four days. Group /.??There were 242 cases belonging to this group. The}' were?
